Who Is Your Pick For Male Indian Wells Champion?

Taylor Fritz

The American men have been sketchy of late, and I do not like Taylor Fritz’s chances of getting through to the final in his half of the draw. Interestingly, the only Masters 1000 event that Taylor Fritz won was the Indian Wells title in 2022. There are a lot of talented American men; however, a lack of talent is not the issue. The issue is two-fold: a lack of consistency and a lack of committed focus to winning.

Indian Wells Champion Must Have That Hunger

The players today just do not seem to have that passion, that hunger to win. That drive and determination you saw when Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal stepped on the court is missing. With the current number one grounded for suspicious drug use, it really shows the current state of men’s tennis. I cannot remember a number one ranked male tennis player ever being suspended for drug use, can you?
