Belinda Bencic is now a married woman and the mother of daughter Bella. At twenty-seven years old, she still has a lot of game left in the tank. She proved that this weekend when she came from a set down to defeat American Ashlyn Krueger at the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open.

In case you may have forgotten, Belinda Bencic has a gold medal to her name. She won Olympic gold in 2021 at the postponed Olympics. Bencic loves playing in Abu Dhabi as she won there in 2023 as well. Motherhood derailed her for a bit. Her last tournament was the San Diego Open before taking maternity leave. The Swiss miss returned to tennis in October 2024, and she is not wasting any time in getting back into top form.

ATP & WTA Top 10 Ranking Changes
ATP: there were a few positional changes in the top ten. Alex de Minaur moved up two spots to #6. Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev both fell one spot to #7 and #8, respectively. The top four players currently are still: [1] Jannik Sinner; [2] Alexander Zverev; [3] Carlos Alcaraz; and [4] Taylor Fritz.
WTA: there were also a few positional changes in the top ten. Elena Rybakina fell two spots to #7. Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys both climbed up one spot to #5 and #6, respectively. The top four players currently are still: [1] Aryna Sabalenka; [2] Iga Swiatek; [3] Coco Gauff; and [4] Jasmine Paolini.
