Mirra Andreeva’s rise to the top ten was a guaranteed thing, it was simply a question of how soon. As a teenager, when she broke on the scene in 2022, she was limited in the number of events she could play (BTW: she is still a teenager). Well, that did not seem to hamper her, because she has done what many players older than her could not do in their careers, win a title. Andreeva has won two career titles.
Mirra Andreeva Is Setting The Stage
Mirra Andreeva’s statement to the tennis world is that she is ready to take on all commers. I have been following her since she broke on the scene, and they started whispering about another Russian teen phenom. She has been maturing right before our eyes. She played with such composure in Dubai, more than her older opponents and was rewarded with her biggest title to date. Andreeva is currently coached by Conchita Martinez, and what a winning combo this is. This young lady really likes clay and made her first major semifinals at Roland Garros in 2024. It was quite interesting watching Mirra Andreeva’s performance on court. I kept thinking how can she hit the ball that hard.

Mirra Andreeva put on a dominant display of her talent at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. En route to the final, she knocked out former number one Iga Swiatek and Wimbledon Champion/top ten player Elena Rybakina. What made her performance so impressive, she won a set in almost every match in dominant fashion. Rybakina was the only player who was able to win a set from her.
