Aleksandar Kovacevic is an American tennis player, who was born in New York. He turned professional in 2021. He is a late bloomer in part because he played college tennis before turning professional. I was impressed with the accuracy and power behind his one-handed backhand. He lost the final because he was probably emotionally and mentally drained. He had to get through the qualifying rounds to get to the main draw of the Occitanie Open.
Aleksandar Kovacevic Is Back In The Top 100
En route to his first ATP singles final, Aleksandar Kovacevic defeated the number one seed. He also dethroned the defending champion, Alexander Bublik in the quarterfinals. Kovacevic fought back to make it a contest, but he just had nothing left in the final tiebreaker. Felix Auger-Aliassime defeated him, 6-2, 6-7(7), 7-6(2) to lift another trophy in 2025. At least the American can take several positives from this tournament: his excellent performance, his ranking boost back into the top one hundred, and a decent paycheck. Now his job is to build on this performance going forward.
