Qualifier Tristan Boyer defeated Federico Coria in five sets. Boyer won the first set 6-3 but dropped the next two sets to the veteran player. Unfortunately, losing the first set cost Coria and Boyer came back to win 7-5, 6-1.

Amanda Anisimova Amongst American Winners

Good win for Marcos Giron. The American defeated Yannick Hanfmann after dropping the first set. Giron dug deep to claim the match 2-6, 7-5, 6-1, 7-5. Mitchell Krueger got through the qualifying rounds and Rinky Hijikata to advance to the second round. Teenager, Learner Tien gets a big win. It took him five sets, but he defeated Camilo Ugo Carabelli 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-3, 5-7, 6-4. Madison Keys defeated fellow American, Ann Li, 6-4, 7-5. Nice to see Amanda Anisimova on the winning side of things. She defeated Maria Lourdes Carle 6-2, 6-3. Seventeen-year-old American, Iva Jovic, defeated the veteran Nuria Parrizas Diaz 6-2, 6-1.

Andrey Rublev Amongst Seeds Who Lost On Day 3

[9] Andrey Rublev lost in straight sets to the eighteen-year-old qualifier, Joao Fonseca. Fonseca won 7-6(1), 6-3, 7-6(5). [25] Alexei Popyrin lost in four sets to Corentin Moutet. Moutet can be a dangerous opponent when he is hot. Today he was and he won 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. Another seed that lost to a French player.
