Taylor Fritz and his team are probably disappointed that he did not win the title; however, not as disappointed as his American fans. Despite not taking home the trophy, Fritz is now at a career high of number four. The American has been in the top ten before and hopefully this time around he will remain there much longer. Will he ever get to number one? Surprisingly, Jannik Sinner has developed into a formidable opponent.

Taylor Fritz needs to watch tapes from 2021 when we defeated Sinner and 2023 when he took a set at Indian Wells. He is 1:4 against the number one ranked player and he must figure out a way to defeat him consistently. Fritz has a more convincing record against Alexander Zverev. He leads 7:5, winning their last four encounters. Unfortunately, he is 0:2 against Carlos Alcaraz. Yet, this is perhaps the incentive that the American needs to inspire him to take his game up another notch. Americans are hoping to get another top ranked male player. We know there will never be another Pete Sampras, but we should be able to find someone who can get to the top and stay there consistently. Let’s see what the American does in 2025.
