Ajla Tomljanovic has been playing professional tennis for more than a decade. I have seen and read about the numerous injuries that she has suffered. Then there were the numerous surgeries and months of recovery. Her highest career ranking of thirty-two was last year. She is currently thirty-one years old. Interestingly, she has made it to five finals she but has not won a title, yet she perseveres. Why?
What Motivates Tomljanovic To Keep Going?
Is it possible that the reasons are the same in any given arena. The driving force may on the surface appear to be achieving success. However, success is a relative term, and each person has their own definition of what it means for them to be successful. Thus, the answer becomes complex. The common denominator is an outcome that each person wants when they pursue a goal or a career. That outcome is tied up with meaning, emotions, feelings, needs, and beliefs. At some point, each of us must examine our story for relevance and truth. Will Ajla Tomljanovic ever win that first singles title?
