Suzan Lamens Wins Japan Open Title

Suzan Lamens

Suzan Lamens made her professional debut in 2015. While many of you may have never heard her name, she is not new to the winner’s circle. Lamens won her first WTA title this year at a WTA125 tournament in Oeiras, Portugal. Interestingly, that is a clay court tournament. At twenty-five, many may consider her a late bloomer; however, she has accomplished something many other professional tennis players have never been able to do before their retirement. Susan Lamens won her first WTA250 singles title in Japan.

Suzan Lamens Capitalizes On Her Opportunity

Lamens apparently is versatile on many surfaces, which will benefit her going forward in her career. The question is always, will this be a one and done or does this young lady have plans to rack up more titles? I hope she does, and I look forward to seeing her play. Keep in mind that she came all the way from the qualifying rounds to win this title.
