There were lots of changes in the rankings on both the ATP and WTA Tours, with the WTA having more ranking changes. Surprisingly, there were not as many as would be expected after a major, which suggests many did not capitalize on this last major to scoop up some ranking points.
Major Ranking Boost For Navarro
Congratulations to Emma Navarro, who cracked the top ten barrier. For her efforts in getting to her first major semifinal, the American is now a top ten player. Aryna Sabalenka persevered and made it to her second consecutive US Open final, and this time she won the title. Congratulations Sabalenka, and she also secured her spot in the year end WTA Finals.
