American Women Dominate The WTA Top Ten

American Women

There are three American women currently in the top ten. The youngest at twenty is Coco Gauff, who currently holds the number two position. The other two women, Jessica Pegula and Danielle Collins, are each thirty-years-old. Pegula is currently ranked number six and Collins is ranked number nine. Gauff and Collins have both been to the final of a major, with Gauff winning the US Open in 2023.

American Women More Consistent

American women have been more consistent in the top ten that their male compatriots. Currently, there are no American men ranked in the top ten. Taylor Fritz is flirting with the top ten at eleven. There was a brief period of Fritz and Frances Tiafoe in the top ten back in 2023. However, inconsistent play and injury has knocked both out of the top ten. Fritz got to a career high of five and Tiafoe got to a career high of ten in 2023.
