Nicolas Jarry could have given up, and perhaps he even thought about quitting. I do not know. However, it would have been understandable. Then again, why give them the satisfaction if you knew you were innocent. It can be so frustrating especially when you are on a roll. In February last year, I asked if Jarry could get back to his career high.
Nicolas Jarry Defeats Top Ten Player
Jarry’s road to the final included defeating top ten player Stefanos Tsitsipas. However, he could not get pass a second top ten player in the final. Nicolas Jarry lost 4-6, 5-7 to Alexander Zverev. Nevertheless, he accomplished a few things: he surpassed his previous career high, and he made his first Masters 1000 final. The question though, “Will he be a legitimate threat at Roland Garros?”
