Dominic Thiem has been struggling to find his form since his right wrist surgery in 2021. It has been rough going for the former number three ranked player. Perhaps some doubts even crept in whether he could get back to a level to make it to a final. Remember, he is one of two players who has at least five career wins over the big three (Djokovic, Federer, and Nadal).
Dominic Thiem Is Heading In The Right Direction
The doubts are probably fading, amidst the disappointment of not winning the title. However, I think Dominic Thiem and his team will be encouraged. As usual, the question is will his repaired wrist be able to tolerate the demands of the game going forward. The sport desperately needs his energy. He was such a fierce competitor and I hope he gets that edge back in his game.
