[13] Danielle Collins lost to [22] Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon champion. Rybakina won 6-2, 5-7, 6-2. [14] Frances Tiafoe was not locked in today. The result, he came up short in his match against [18] Karen Khachanov. The Russian won 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(9).
The Other Seeds That Lost On Day 5
[6] Maria Sakkari lost 6-7(3), 6-1, 4-6 to Lin Zhu. Zhu has never gone past the second round of any of the majors. [20] Denis Shapovalov did quite well to even the match after falling behind by two sets. Unfortunately, the effort it took to get back even took a toll.
