Marc-Andrea Huesler, the other Swiss player that many of us may not have heard about. Then again, let’s be honest, I had never heard his name. Huesler turned professional six years ago. If a player does not stand out immediately, most fans don’t really notice them. However, Huesler has been quietly working behind the scenes.
Marc-Andrea Huesler Wins First ATP Title
Marc-Andrea Huesler gets his day in the spotlight. The twenty-six-year-old defeated Holger Rune to claim his first ATP singles title in Sofia. En route to the title he knocked out Pablo Carreno Busta, who was the number two seed. The Swiss player also knocked out the fourth seed, Lorenzo Musetti. Huesler was a hustler over the weekend, and it paid big dividends. A nice way to end his 2022 season.
