[8] Jessica Pegula  dispatched of her opponent in straight sets. Aliaksandra Sasnovich competed well, but in the end she lost 6-4, 6-4. After losing the first set at love, Lauren Davis came back to upset [28] Ekaterina Alexandrova 0-6, 6-4, 7-6(5). [19] Danielle Collins is rounding into form with each match. The American defeated Cristina Bucsa 6-2, 7-5.

[22] Frances Tiafoe had a battle on his hands against the Australian, Jason Kubler. However, in the end, the American prevailed 7-6(3), 7-5, 7-6(2). Hailey Baptiste and Whitney Osuigwe defeated their opponents 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Americans Nicholas Monroe and Keegan Smith defeated their opponents 7-6(6), 6-3. American Nicholas Godsick and Ethan Quinn defeated their opponents 7-6(1), 6-4. Another American duo of Christopher Eubanks and Ben Shelton defeated the Tsitsipas brothers 3-6, 7-6(8), 6-2.

Madison Keys and her boyfriend, Bjorn Fratangelo defeated a pair of Americans 6-4, 6-2. Catherine Harrison and Ingrid Neel defeated their opponents 6-4, 6-4. Robert Galloway and Alex Lawson defeated their opponents 6-3, 6-3. Brandon Nakashima defeated [17] Grigor Dimitrov 7-6(5), 7-5, 6-3.

Seeded Players Who Fell To The Upset Bug

[4] Paula Badosa lost in three sets to Petra Martic. Badosa won the first set in a tiebreaker, but then lost the second and third sets, one and two, respectively. [6] Felix Auger-Aliassime lost in straight sets to Jack Draper. [8] Hubert Hurkacz lost to Ilya Ivashka 4-6, 6-4, 6-7(5), 3-6.

[14] Leylah Fernandez lost 3-6, 6-7(3) to Liudmila Samsonova. [15] Beatriz Haddad Maia lost 2-6, 4-6 to Bianca Andreescu. [32] Miomir Kecmanovic fell in four sets to the long time veteran, Richard Gasquet. Gasquet came out on fire winning the first two sets before Kecmanovic dug in to capture the third set. Gasquet won 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
