Brandon Nakashima had a very special day yesterday. The twenty-one-year-old American won his first title in San Diego, where he was born. With the victory, Nakashima is up to a career high of 48. It was the third time lucky for the American. We expect him to keep climbing, he’s a fighter.
Brandon Nakashima Made His Move
In his two previous finals in 2021, the American just could not quite cross the finish line. This time, he was determined to hoist the trophy. Against the higher ranked Marcos Giron, Brandon Nakashima was relentless, and it paid big dividends. It is always so liberating to get that first singles win under your belt. You know you have it within you, but you just can’t quite relax until you do it.
