Post Australian Open Tennis Rankings
Although winning the Australian Open would have been better, American Danielle Collins will gladly take the boost in her rankings. Her performance at the first major of the year propelled her into the top ten. This is a career high for Danielle Collins, no doubt something she will be looking to build on for the rest of her career.
Danielle Collins Is The Mover Of The Week
Unfortunately for some players, their rankings fell drastically. Naomi Osaka, defending champion fell seventy-one spots to number eighty-five. The biggest drop in rankings was American Sofia Kenin. Kenin fell eighty-two spots to number ninety-five. Both Osaka and Kenin need to regain their top ranking forms this season, which will not be easy given their current mental and emotional states. However, they are champions and are surely doing the work to get back to their fittest states.
