I cannot remember the last time I saw such a jump in ranking following a major. However, it is no surprise as Emma Raducanu made history when she won the US Open title. She was the first qualifier [male or female] to win a major title. However, more impressive was her winning without dropping a set.
Emma Raducanu Is The Mover Of The Week
It’s not from obscurity to the spotlight because those in the know already knew about the Canadian born British teenager. Raducanu skyrocketed up one hundred and twenty-seven spots to a career high of twenty three. Somehow I expect she will be climbing higher. Women’s tennis is definitely getting interesting.
