Like so many athletes, injury has been the other variable in Andrea Petkovic’s career. Petkovic was once a top ten member and that was in 2011, when she was ranked number nine. The German claimed her last singles title in 2015. Since then, a slew of injuries have interrupted her professional career. She has had recurrent knee injuries that has required surgeries. Everyone knows how vital the knees are to any tennis player; thus, we are quite happy to see her making a concerted effort to regain her top form.
