Sebastian Korda Stealing The Show
[213] Sebastian Korda is having the French Open of his career. The twenty-year-old knock out fellow countryman [21] John Isner in four sets to advance to the third round. Next up for the youngster will be the twenty-three-year old Spaniard, [105] Pedro Martinez. [25] Amanda Anisimova and [27] Taylor Fritz are also into the third.
Cori Gauff Out Of Roland Garros
There will be no Cinderella run for Cori Gauff at the 2020 Roland Garros. After winning the first set 6-4, she lost her way in the second set. Things seemed to be on the mend when she went up a break in the third set, but it was short lived. A slew of errors on serve, double faults, and in the rallies seemed to rattle her.
With her focus in tatters and her emotions running high, it was inevitable that her opponent would further unnerve her with her calm and her game. [159] Martina Trevisan never stopped fighting and she was rewarded with the upset. Perhaps age was her advantage as she handled her emotions much better than her opponent.

Injury Knocks Williams Out
[6] Serena Williams withdrew prior to her match due to her persistent Achilles injury. Frankly, I was a bit surprised that she turned up to play because from personal experience, it takes a while for injury to your Achilles tendon to heal.
Fallen Non-American Seeds
[10] Victoria Azarenka lost easily to [161] Anna Karolina Schmiedlova in straight sets. [23] Yulia Putintseva lost in three sets to [131] Nadia Podoroska and [32] Barbora Strycova lost in three sets to fellow countrywoman [114] Barbora Krejcikova.
