MOTW: Aliaksandra Sasnovich

Sasnovich

The Belarusian made it to the semifinals of the Sydney International tournament in January 2018 and needed to get to the final of a similar or equal tournament this season in order to secure her ranking; unfortunately, Sasnovich lost in the second round of her first tournament of the 2020 season. She did her ranking no favors when she also lost early at the Adelaide International tournament last night.

With the Australian Open less than ten days away, Sasnovich will have to do some serious evaluation of the state of her game. You never want to go into a major without some positive results; however, perhaps she will be inspired and bring a much better form to the tournament. Once ranked as high as number thirty, her current ranking does not reflect her talent; thus, we are hoping that she can use this time to regain her focus and confidence.
