MOVER OF THE WEEK: Jil Teichmann

Toiling on the ITF Tour as many players do when they first start playing tennis, Teichmann honed her game on clay. She played her first match on the ITF circuit in 2013 and won her first ITF tournament in 2015 in Germany. This past weekend, she took it one step further when she defeated crowd favorite, Karolina Muchova, at the J&T Banka Prague Open to claim her first WTA Tour singles title. En route to the title, she defeated two top sixty ranked players and had a three-set battle against the Czech player in the final to claim the victory. No doubt, Teichmann would love to continue playing at this level; however, she was pretty banged up after playing back to back days of tennis and will gladly take a break before her next tournament.
