2018: November ATP & WTA Champions

November Shine

It was the final month of tennis on the ATP World Tour and to say the season ended on a high for Alexander Zverev would not be an understatement. While he still has yet to go deep in a major, Zverev has proven once again that he is a fast learner and is quite capable of making the necessary adjustments to fulfill that goal. He took a huge step this season when he defeated both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic back-to-back to win the biggest title to date of his young career (the Nitto ATP Finals). This will certainly be a tremendous boost in confidence and with the new addition of Ivan Lendl to his coaching team, team Zverev is banking on him claiming his first major title in the 2019 season. Yet, there is no pressure because it is not a matter of when, but rather a question of how many major titles will Zverev win in his career when all is said and done.

Another player who cemented his names in our minds is the young Greek player, Stefanos Tsitsipas. He won his first title on the ATP World Tour in Stockholm and ended his season with the Next Gen Finals title in Milan. His team will also be expecting major things from him in 2019.

Keep an eye on the young Australian as well, Alex de Minaur and the young Russian, Karen Khachanov.
