SIGNIFICANT RANKING CHANGES FOR THE WEEK OF 07.30.2018
The mover of the week honors go to Nikoloz Basilashvili. He won his first ATP World Tour singles title and became the first Georgian player to win an ATP World Tour title. After winning the first set, Basilashvili lost his focus and it looked like the defending champion, Leonardo Mayer, had seized control of the match; however, the Georgian shook off the set, regained his focus and won the German Open title in three sets. This victory also pushed him to a career high ranking of 35, which makes him the first Georgian player to crack the top forty on the ATP Tour. With the last major rapidly approaching, Basilashvili would love to take this form into the US Open.
