WEEK: 02.13.2017
The mover of the week is, Victor Estrella Burgos, who jumped 63 spots to number 93. He won his first title in 2015 after being on tour since 2002. Since then he has won this same title three consecutive years, the Ecuador Open in Quito. Interesting facts about him, he has never lost a final and each year he has won this title he has had to beat the same player, Thomaz Bellucci, en route to the title. It takes a lot of mental strength to defend a title and to do so three years running tells you a lot about his mental fortitude. He has done so well at this tournament; I have often wondered why he does not do as well at other clay court tournaments. He is the ultimate clay court player who can battle on, seemingly forever, without getting fatigued.

There were no significant ranking changes on the WTA Tour, perhaps a result of no WTA tournaments taking place due to Fed Cup obligations. Regular WTA tournaments will resume today.
ATP Tour: the top ten members remained the same; however, Gael Monfils moved down to #10 and Roger Federer moved up to #9.
