WEEK: 06.13.2016
There were two players tied for the mover of the week honors: Yen-Hsun Lu and Camila Giorgi. While Lu saw his ranking improved from winning the Aegon Surbiton Trophy on the Challenger Tour over the weekend; Giorgi’s ranking went in the opposite direction because she was unable to defend her title in ‘s-Hertogenbosch due to injury. We wish Giorgi a speedy recovery and hope to see her back soon on the courts hitting those powerful groundstrokes that she enjoys using to frustrate her opponents. The grass court season is underway as players tune up their games in preparation for the third Major of the season, The Championships-Wimbledon. Will there be a new male and female champion at this third Major? Or will the defending champions retain their titles?
