Rogers continues to be the surprise of the tournament.  First she defeated big serving and hard-hitting [17] Karolina Pliskova (CZE) in the first round.  Then she knocked out [10] Petra Kvitova (CZE) in the third round.  Today she defeated her third seeded player of the tournament in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. Is Rogers ready for the spotlight?  She will not get much time to digest what she accomplished today, getting to the quarterfinals of a Major for the first time in her career.  Rogers and her team will have to do their best to help her deal with the emotions of the moment and prepare her psychologically for the next round.  The prospect of what she has accomplished and can still accomplish may become a burden and hinder her game if she is not careful.  Garbine Muguruza is her next opponent and she has made it to the quarterfinals at Roland Garros twice before and will want to go further this tournament.  Can Rogers continue her run and upset another seed?
