Kiki Bertens accomplished what she could not earlier this year in Miami.  After taking the first set 6-1, she could not sustain the level of tennis to get the upset victory. Things looked to be heading in the same direction today.  Again she won the first set rather handily only to drop the second; however, this time, she continued to apply the pressure and managed to secure the biggest upset of the tournament to date. Is Kerber still suffering from the emotional upheaval of winning her first Major?
