WEEK: 03.21.2016
Magdalena Rybarikova was the mover of the week with her impressive run to the quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. She knocked out two top ten players: Belinda Bencic and Roberta Vinci before she lost to the eventual champion. Severely hampered by a right leg injury and barely able to move, she was easy pickings for Victoria Azarenka. It’s not a score that she wants to remember, the dreaded double bagel and she will definitely want to erase that memory as soon as possible. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope that she will be able to build on this performance as the season progresses.
