Men’s Semifinals: [CR1] Novak Djokovic (SRB) vs. [CR4] Andy Murray (GBR)
Murray was at a lost the entire match because Djokovic had an answer to everything he tried. The disparity in skills between Djokovic and everyone else appears huge, especially when he so easily defeats them. Is he really that talented? The advantage Djokovic has over every player is his mobility and flexibility; however, Federer has a higher tennis I.Q. Djokovic is not invincible, but you have to believe that you can beat him. Rafael Nadal has beaten Djokovic consecutively on numerous occasions, until 2011 when Djokovic turned the tables winning seven matches in a row. Federer has also beaten him in consecutive matches on several occasions.
Djokovic has stopped those runs of consecutive loses because he now believes that he will win every time he steps on court. Why is he so confident? His confidence makes him an extremely difficult opponent to defeat; therefore, when given the opportunity, you have to take advantage. Murray lost the match because he lacked intensity, probably because he did not believe he could beat Djokovic or because he is currently distracted. Unfortunately for Murray, when things went awry, he was too frustrated to patiently work the point and made too many errors. Djokovic kept the pressure on by ferociously attacking every ball and easily won the match 6-2, 6-3. Who will be his opponent in the Final?
