Donfeng Motor Wuhan Open, China

[CR222] Bethanie Mattek-Sands (USA) is back on court, playing in the qualifying rounds at the 2014 Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open.

The flamboyant player has been missing from action since April due to left hip injury.  Her career has been marred by injuries; however, each time she comes back fighting to achieve the level of play that once saw her ranked as high as number 39.  She has had some impressive wins in her career due to her ability to play excellent tennis mid-court and at the net.  She had recently improved her foot speed, which was allowing her to be better positioned to increase the depth of her shots against opponents. When she is healthy and focused, she can play with the best and beat the best.

Her game brings diversity to the sport and you never know which talent is going to be advertised when she steps on court.
