Men’s Final: [CR3] Roger Federer (SUI) vs. [CR15] Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA)
Tsonga had a fight on his hands and for a time there in the second set, it looked like he would wilt under the pressure. Sure, he had taken down some impressive talents on his way to the final but this was Federer. No matter the fading aura of invincibility, Federer can still bring enough game to a match to make it interesting and difficult for his opponent.
Though he wobbled in the second set and allowed Federer to take it to a tiebreaker, it was no competition. Tsonga dealt the knock out blow in the breaker, taking it 7-3, and winning the match 7-5, 7-6(3).
