[CR125] Taylor Townsend (USA) could not duplicate her feat of two days ago.  She was denied her revenge against  [CR14] Flavia Pennetta (ITA).  Though she gave a valiant effort, it was all in vain as she lost once again in the 2nd round to the Italian.  Unlike their last encounter, this was a straight sets loss,  4-6, 3-6.

I am still encouraged by her performance despite the loss; the desire to win is palpable.  I hope she remains focused, it would be fascinating to see how far her game will take her.
