Women’s Final: [CR5] Agnieszka Radwanska (POL) vs. [CR26] Venus Williams (USA)

A. Radwanska easily dispatched of Venus 6-4, 6-2 in today’s Final. Based on their recent history, it was probably expected.  Although you hoped that Venus could change the outcome, it was not to be. Venus was running on empty after battling in three consecutive three set matches to get to the final; however, you cannot take away any credit from A. Radwanska, she came to play and she won.

It was nice to get her first title of the year and it was an even more satisfying victory, as it was a Premier 5 Level event as well.
