MEN
[CR2] Rafael Nadal (ESP) is sitting out a few tournaments due to a right wrist injury, incurred ironically while practicing for the summer hard court season. We hope to see him back on the court soon, he is missed.
[CR10] Juan Martin Del Potro (ARG) has been out due to a left wrist injury. He has been missing from action since March 2014.
[CR13] Richard Gasquet (FRA) has had recurrent back issues, yet it was an abdominal muscle strain incurred while playing at this year’s Rogers Cup which forced him to retire from his 3rd round match against Andy Murray. We hope he recovers in time for the US Open, we love his graceful one handed backhand.
[CR29] Tommy Haas (GER) is back on the disabled list due to recurrent issues with his right shoulder, which subsequently led to his arthroscopic surgery in June 2014. He has fought back so many times from injuries; we wish him all the best and look forward to his return next season.
[CR63] Florian Mayer (GER), has not played since March 2014 due to a groin injury. He hopes to be back by the 2014 US Open.
[CR100] Stephane Robert (FRA) has been out with a leg injury since June 2014.
WOMEN
[CR2] Li Na (CHN) is out due to persistent issues with her right knee. She will be out of the summer hard court season, though not at all surprising given how much pounding the knees take on that surface.
[CR87] Victoria Duval (USA) was diagnosed in June 2014 with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and will be off the tour while she undergoes treatment. She is a trooper and we are keeping her in our prayers for a full recovery. Until then we will miss her charming smile and enthusiastic personality.
